Treatment

This section provides guidance on treatment options for early breast cancer to be considered by the multidisciplinary team in making shared decisions with patients.

Recommendations and practice points are included for the treatment options: complementary and alternative therapies, neoadjuvant therapy, surgery (breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, breast reconstruction, sentinel node biopsy, management of the axilla and risk-reducing surgery), systemic therapy (assessment of markers and systemic therapy planning, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, anti-HER2 therapy and bone modifying agents) and radiation therapy.
