Treatment planning, information & support

This section provides guidance for planning treatment after diagnosis of early breast cancer, to support a patient-centred, multidisciplinary approach to care that involves patients in decision making and helps them prepare for their treatment.

Recommendations and practice points are included on multidisciplinary care and care coordination, psychosocial support and information for patients, clinical tests such as pathology and imaging for treatment planning, genetic assessment and testing, clinical trial participation, healthy lifestyles, lymphoedema and on considerations for particular groups of patients, such as older and younger patients.
